Zi Qin is an experienced dental hygienist who has been registered in Australia since 2015. She works closely with the dentists at The Dentistry to support gum health, professional cleaning, periodontal maintenance and long-term prevention.
Her particular interests include tooth whitening and helping patients understand how small improvements in brushing, interdental cleaning and maintenance routines can protect their oral health.
What a hygiene appointment may include
- Review of gum health and bleeding
- Professional removal of plaque and calculus
- Air polishing where suitable
- Individual brushing and interdental-cleaning advice
- Fluoride or sensitivity support where clinically indicated
Working as part of the clinical team
Hygiene care is coordinated with the patient’s dentist. Changes such as persistent gum inflammation, tooth wear, decay risk or restoration concerns can therefore be reviewed within the patient’s wider treatment plan.
