Emergency dentist Sydney CBD

Prompt assessment when dental problems cannot wait.

The Dentistry offers same-day emergency appointments where availability permits. Existing patients receive priority, and telephone triage is available to help determine the urgency of the problem before attendance.

Common emergencies include severe toothache, swelling, broken teeth, lost fillings or crowns, dental trauma and suspected infection.

When swelling is urgent

Rapidly increasing swelling, difficulty breathing or swallowing, fever or significant facial swelling may require urgent medical assessment.

Knocked-out adult tooth

Hold the tooth by the crown, not the root. If clean, place it back in the socket if possible, or keep it moist in milk and seek immediate dental care. Do not replant a baby tooth.

Lost crown or filling

Keep the restoration if you have it and avoid biting hard on the affected tooth. Do not use household glue.

Pain relief

Use over-the-counter pain relief only as directed and where medically suitable. Dental pain still requires assessment of the cause.
